Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the data you choose to send us through the contact form or by email. Like most web servers, our hosting server may also record technical log data (IP address, browser type, requested page, time) for security and troubleshooting.

Contact Form Data

When you use the contact form we process your name, email address, subject and message, plus your IP address for spam prevention and rate limiting. The message is sent to us by email via a transactional email provider.

Purpose of Processing

We use this data solely to read and answer your enquiry, to protect the website against abuse and to keep it running securely. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.

Legal Bases

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure website and responding to correspondence.

Data Retention

Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months after the conversation ends, unless a longer period is required by law. Server logs are kept for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days. Temporary rate-limit records are deleted automatically after one hour.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Access to emails and server systems is restricted, and API credentials are stored on the server, never in the browser.

Email Communication

If you write to us, we will reply to the email address you provide. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Third-Party Services

We use a hosting provider for the website, Resend (a transactional email service) to deliver contact form messages, and Google Fonts to display typefaces, which means your browser connects to Google servers to load fonts. External links, such as to ferry operators, lead to websites with their own privacy policies.

International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, to object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
